TITLE FIGHT: Wheeler beaten, but he put on one hell of a show
Peterborough puncher Karl Wheeler put on a brave display, but lost his Southern Area Cruiserweight title fight at the York Hall last night (March 18).
The 34 year-old was stopped in the fifth round by Wadi Camacho so the city’s wait for a first major title since 1990 goes on.
Wheeler said: “I lost, but me and Wadi put on one hell of a show. I gave it my all and I’m sorry for not bringing the title home.
“The better man won so congratulations to him and his team.”
