Peterborough cruiserweight Karl Wheeler made a winning return to the ring in London on Saturday (September 5).
The 33 year-old outpointed Tomislav Rudan in his first fight for a year at the York Hall in Bethnal Green.
Wheeler won every one of the six rounds on the referee’s scorecard.
Rudan, who’d won his previous two fights, was tough and stubborn, but Wheeler was too good and said afterwards: “I think I’m ready to fight for a title now.”
Eye light-heavyweight Sam Barron didn’t box on the bill after his opponent pulled out just before the show.
