Three bowlers will be chasing title hat-tricks at the Northants Bowling Federation indoor finals at Stamford on Sunday, with no fewer than another eight seeking doubles.
Jenny Harvey defends the women’s singles crown and is also involved in both the senior singles and pairs deciders, the latter with Carol Hunter, who won the title last year with a different partner.
Andrew Thurston challenges defending champion Simon Law in the men’s singles final, teams up with Nick Wilkie, another hat-trick seeking player, in the pairs, and joins daughter and father pair, Sarah and Jeff Newson, in the mixed triples.
Apart from the men’s pairs, Wilkie defends the mixed pairs title with Joan Robinson, and comes up against pairs partner Thurston in the mixed triples, where he lines up alongside Mary Malton and Stephen Harris.
Howard Shipp and Jeff Newson defend the men’s triples, with Joe Randall their new partner.
The winners go forward to represent Northants in the national finals at Newark at the end of next month.

The Peterborough senior men’s team maintained their top three position in the Cambs League with a 71-64 home victory over Huntingdon A, collecting eight of the ten points, two of them secured following a five on the last end for the rink of Mick Linnell to win 20-19.
