What a first season it’s been for the City of Peterborough club operating from their new venue at the Peterborough Town Sports Club in Bretton Gate.

Their Belvedere squad have won no fewer than three Peterborough League championships – Midweek Division One, Club 60 Premier and Weekend Premier – and the Molins section have claimed the Weekend second division title and finished runners-up in Midweek Division Three.

The Conservative club also celebrated a hat-trick of titles, winning Midweek Division Three, Club 60 Division Four and Weekend Division One.

The Deeping club also enjoyed a successful season, winning the Midweek fourth division and Club 60 Division One titles, as well as finishing runners-up in three other divisions – Midweek Division One; Club 60 Division Three and Weekend Division One.

The last titles were settled last week, with CoP Belvedere confirmed as Club 60 Premier Division champions when West Ward Tigers, requiring nine points to overhaul them, suffered a 6-4 defeat against Blackstones.

In Club 60 Division Two, Longthorpe Woods, needing two points to overtake Ketton Chater at the top, made no mistake with a maximum.

One of the closest title races occurred in Midweek Division Three, where just two points separated the top three. In the end it was Conservative B who took the honours, with CoP Molins B one point behind and West Ward Panthers a further point adrift.

The League presentations take place at the Parkway club on Friday, November 6.

She was involved in two winning triples on the opening day, but was beaten in the fours the following day.
