Nene Valley Harriers veteran Nicky Morgan continued her golden summer when winning the Cambridgeshire senior ladies mile championship at St Ives.
The 46 year-old Hampton-based flyer confidently saw off her rivals, covering the distance in 5:42.6.
Morgan’s time moved her up to 20th place in the all-time UK Over 45 mile rankings, which also feature her teammate Philippa Taylor in sixth position.
Morgan wasn’t the only Nene Valley medallist at the meeting as Josie Fortune finished second in the Under 17 mile race with a 5:37.3 clocking.
Peterborough AC also picked up gold and silver medals with Stuart Haw finishing second in the senior men’s race with a 4:28.8 finish and Amittai Ben-Israel winning Under 20 gold in a time of 4:37.4.
Nene Valley’s Birmingham University student James McCrae finished third in the Welsh Athletics Under 20 Mile at Cardiff last week in a rapid 4:23.96.
The 19 year-old is now on the training roster of legendary American coach Bud Baldaro - a man who has been the driving force behind Olympians, Commonwealth medallists, World and European champions, and several UK record breakers over the years.
There was a one-two for Peterborough AC at the Littleport 10k on Sunday with James Whitehead crossing the line first in 35:39 and Amittai Ben-Israel finishing second in 35:49.
Steve Hall made it three PAC finishers in the top 10 by claming nith spot in 38:19.
