A good weekend all round for PAC

Peterborough Athletic Club had some good results on the track and on the road at the weekend.

In the Eastern Counties Combined Events Championships at the Embankment, Elena Rivetti won gold in the Under 13 girls quadrathlon for Cambridgeshire with Alice Bennett taking the silver after finishing just two points behind.

In the Under 15 girls pentathlon, Charlotte Dunstone won gold for Cambridgeshire and was third overall in the Eastern competition.

On the road, PAC’s Dom Moszkal won the West Pinchbeck 10k in a PB of 33:12:37.

John Pike was first veteran home and sixth overall in 35:32:50 and Paul Larkins was second vet in 39:23:11.

In the Great Scottish Run in Glasgow, PAC’s Ben Heron ran 72:03 to knock just over two minutes off his half-marathon PB. He was 36th.

PAC’s Phil Martin represented the East of England in the English Masters Inter-Area cross-country match at Bury St Edmunds on Saturday. The 39 year-old battled his way to 27th place in a strong field.

PAC’s Kirk Brawn will be running for the England men’s Over 40 team at the Chester Marathon this weekend.

He qualified after a 2:42:54 clocking in Manchester back in April which knocked just over 15 minutes off his previous best.
