Another world title for Taylor's TASK force

It's been a super Septemb er for the Peterborough martial arts club TASK (Taylor's Academy of Sport Karate) based in Norfolk Street.

Two weeks ago club founder and chief instructor Rob Taylor returned from the world ISKA kick-boxing championships in Jamaica with a gold medal and three of his students - Grant Brown, Taylor Popat-Evans and Braydon Popat-Evans - were also medallists.

Now the club have another world champion within their ranks following Saulius Jurkstas’s successful trip to Portugal to compete in the WMO world championships.

Saulius (39), from Westwood, won the veterans light continuous world title to go alongside the British title he won in February.

Sensei Taylor said: “I am extremely proud of Saulius’s achievements in 2018 and am looking forward to seeing what he can do in his second year of competition.”
