Another good turnout saw JVAC descend on two of Decoy’s strips lakes for their latest match.

Will Hadley triumphed on Elm with 95lb 7oz, taken mainly on long pole and 6mm expander pellet from peg 10.

Runner-up here was Kevin Wilmot, who used similar tactics for 68lb 13oz from peg seven.

Over on Cedar, Jay Richardson fished a small cage feeder with meat and dead maggots from peg six for his 85lb 7oz total.

In second place was ‘Mr Consistent’ Roger Gowler, who made the most of his end peg 12 to find 81lb 12oz.

It was far from easy for Cock Inn anglers on the Four Island Pool at Decoy. In fact for most of the day anglers struggled for a bite.

Top rod with a modest 15lb 12oz was Bob Mills, who had three better carp taken close to the reeds from peg five on worm.

Second was Gary Sell with 15lb 4oz and third Paul Faulkner on 14lb 9oz.
