The Decoy Over 55 Summer League match was fished on the Elm and Cedar pools at Decoy and it was once again Elm Pool which fared best with paste and meat baits accounting for most of the top weights.

Decoy expert Danny Carlton won from peg 12 with175lb 12oz followed by Deeping rod Ray Torrington with 143lb 1oz, Shaun Best on 140lb and Steve Dorks with 123lb 2oz.

In the Over 55s midweek match on the Horseshoe Pool at Float Fish Farm it was Alan Wiggins out in front with 129lb 8oz from peg 23.

Just a few pegs away was runner-up Mick Linnell on 102lb 8oz. Third was Ted Rowe on 99lb 12oz.


Andy Gausen was a clear winner of the Float Fish Farm Summer League Open on Horseshoe Pool.

He fished a small Method feeder for most of the day on fancied peg 23 to record 92lb 11oz.

Runner-up with 76lb 8oz was Alan Marshall followed by Tom Wilson 67lb 4oz.


There were some good weights taken in the Webb’s AC match on a windswept North View Lakes at Gedney Hill.

Matchwinner was Richard Knight, who caught on a feeder and close in on the pole to finish with 113lb 3oz.

Runner-up was Martin Parker on 86lb 5oz followed by Mick Linnell with 82lb 4oz and Ken Allum on 71lb 4oz.


Ian Drage won the latest Steel City Open on Ferry Meadows with 109lb 4oz of bream. City rod Paul Rayner was second with 67lb 6oz followed by Dave Lawrence with 66lb 2oz.
