There was another big turnout on Sunday for the Peterborough DAA match at Ferry Meadows with four members of the Team England Feeder squad in a very strong line-up.
Unfortunately it did not fish quite as well as expected but winner on the day Dave Stokes still put a fine 86lb to the scales from peg 58.
He caught 14 bream, including a fish of 8lb on long range feeder tactics.
Second was city rod Paul Rayner, who drew peg 59 and weighed in 47lb 10oz, with Phil Ringer third on 22lb 4oz.
Now that the fishery is once again established as one of the country’s top bream venues it would be a shame to stop running the matches through the usually prolific summer months.
