Cock Inn anglers were frustrated in the first couple of hours of Sunday’s match on the Kingsland Small Pool, but once a bit of feed had gone in, the carp started to show and by the final whistle one or two of the anglers could not get in quick enough.

Top rod from peg six was Pete Sanderson with 113lb 8oz followed by Gary Sell with 102lb and Chris Shortland with 101lb 10oz.


Kingsland Small Pool was also the venue for the Whittlesey club’s match on Saturday.

Top rod with 142lb of carp taken close in on cat meat was Andy Lawrence. Andy Bull took the runner-up position with 90lb 10oz, then came John Hudson with 81lb 8oz.

Tydd Gote Junior Funday Match: 1 Robert Hitchcock 5lb 8oz; 2 William Bates 2lb 5oz; 3 Morgan Dowd 2lb 4 ½oz. Under 10 - 1 Bryn Ashton 1lb 7oz.
