Pete Sanderson had a day to forget in the Hotpoint match on Lou’s Lake at Decoy.

After filling two nets with carp on peg seven, he put in a third net on top of one of the full ones and, unbeknown to him, the top tipped into the water.

At the weigh-in net two was all but empty, meaning he had to settle for third place with 84lb 2oz instead of taking a comfortable win.

Top rod was Colin Buckingham on peg nine with 89lb 15oz followed by Vince Stapleton (87lb 4oz).

Ted Rowe won the Ramsey AS match on the Four Island Pool at Decoy on Sunday from peg two with 117lb 2oz. Runner-up was Keith Rayment (109lb) followed by Harry Young (78lb).
