Ringer top rod at Ferry Meadows
Top rod and one of the series match organisers and sponsors was Phil Ringer. He drew peg 41 and caught bream at long range to finish with 49lb 2oz. Runner-up was Dave Martin on peg 60 with 44lb 14oz, then came two city anglers Graham Page with 38lb and Nigel Briggs just behind with 34lb 12oz.
Ferry Meadows has been closed to anglers after an outbreak of algae on the water, but thankfully that has all been sorted now and the controlling club Peterborough & DAA have now rearranged their big charity match in aid of Cancer Research on the complex for October 7.
