Sunday saw the Tydd Gote Mega Mania Final fished on the North Level Drain. Anglers had to qualify for the final so it was a small but very strong field that lined the banks.

And what a weekend it turned out to be for matchwinner Dave Williams, who was a member of the Sensas Mark One side crowned Division Two champions.

He scooped the jackpot pay-out with a 6lb 13oz net of rudd and perch together with a bonus tench all caught on a small feeder approach. Next came Andy Greenwood (5lb 4oz), Andrew Kilby (3lb 10oz) and John Bates (3lb 9oz).

RAMSEY

Ramsey’s H. Shaw Teams of Three match was on the old Nene at Benwick and Ivan Steels ran out a clear winner with a 9lb 6oz net of small fish from peg one. Next came Vern Edgley (5lb 4oz) and Keith Rayment (4lb 13oz) with Steels, Rayment and Simon Wagstaff finishing as top team.
