The second practice round for the East Midlands Winter League took place on on a very wet and at times windy Old Nene at March and Creek Cottage.

There was a fine turnout despite the conditions and thankfully the venue was in great form with rudd and roach showing in numbers.

In fact, it was so good that just about every section was won with 10lb plus, quite remarkable even for this venue.

Gary Miller won from near the bypass with 30lb catching some quality rudd to well over 1lb and roach.

Next came Rob Wright with 29lb 6oz from behind the swimming pool. He worked hard all day with probably the best small fish net of the day. Third was Graham Welton on 26lb 4oz.
