If you’re after a net of tench before the season draws to a close on March 14 then it looks like the Narrows at Ramsey is the hot venue right now judging by Sunday’s Ramsey AS result.

Way out in front with 13 fish weighing 47lb 7oz was Paul Kilby. Second was Keith Rayment with 14lb 8oz and third Andrew Kilby 10lb 6oz.


Whittlesey AA, Bevill’s Leam, Carrot Wash: 1 Richard Linnell 13lb 3oz; 2 Andy Lawrence 9lb 10oz; 3 Andy Bull 7lb 15oz.

The Reel People Spring League, Buttonhole Fishery: 1 Ted Ward 35lb 2oz; 2 Brian Ogden 31lb; Denis Sambridge on 25lb 2oz.
