Webb’s AC fished Stretton Lakes at the weekend and although the venue wasn’t in great form there were some respectable leading weights.
Top spot went to the consistent Marcus Webb with 51lb 3oz of small carp taken on the feeder. John Brody was second on 41lb 13oz, followed by Martin Parker with 36lb 1oz.
Fenland Rods fished Headfen Fishery on the Snake Lake and leading the way with a net of carp taken late in the match was Dave Garner.
He caught on luncheon meat close in to finish with a very impressive 132lb.
Runner-up was Kevin Lee, who also caught on meat weighing 100lb, then came Mac Campbell with 80lb 12oz.
Kingsland Fishery again produced some big weights and indeed some very big fish Conservative Angling Club members on Saturday.
First with 175lb 1oz was John Parnell, who had just 23 fish all caught up in the water on dog biscuit.
Bob Walker was just short of the top spot weighing in 174lb 14oz, then came Pete Rudd with his first ever 100lb weight putting 110lb 8oz to the scales.
