Kev Larner made the most of a corner peg draw to win the Hotpoint AC match on the Cedar Pool at Decoy.

He fished a small Method feeder over to the reeds to net carp to double figures in his winning weight of 130lb 15oz. Runner up was Pete Howson on 110lb 8oz followed by Pete Sanderson with 109lb 3oz.


Dick Warrener is Fenland Rods most improved angler this season and he made the most of fancied peg 12 on the Elm Pool at Decoy Lakes.

Alternating between cat meat and pellet he put a match-winning weight of 145lb 2oz to the scales and in so doing collected the £100 Golden Peg envelope together with his pools money on the day.

Mac Campbell was second with 119lb 12oz, then came James Garner with 98lb 3oz and Neil Garner on 88lb 1oz.


The Conservative Angling Club’s latest match was at North View Fishery, Gedney Hill.

Terry Tribe won it with a net of carp taken close in feeding dead reds and fishing red maggots on the hook for 102lb.

Runner-up on 79lb was Alan Porter with Ian Brad third with 78lb 9oz.
