Local rod Richard Bell found the right tactics fishing from peg 17 though. He started on a long pole line fishing banded 6mm pellet before changing later to just off the margins. Feeding micro pellet and maggot with cat meat on the hook he caught some quality carp to weigh in a very respectable 102lb 12oz. This also won him the Jim Measures Memorial Trophy.

Second from peg three was Jon Bowland with 71lb 4oz and third Kevin Crompton with 67lb 2oz from peg 16.
