The Rookery Waters Winter Series two-day final took place at the weekend on the Magpie Pool.
The sections were split right around the lake to try and ensure the better pegs were equally spread with the not so good areas together in other sections. It never really works out just right, but most agreed organiser Alex Bates had it as good as it gets.
Despite the cold weather there were some respectable weights and as this was all about section points it was all to play for.
Day one saw Josh Pace lead the way with a section and match win with 68lb 6oz from peg 13.
Several anglers were in with a shout of the major prize money on the second day, but it was eventual winner Richard Bond who stole the show with a fine 131lb from peg 20.
Runner-up over the two days was Pace, followed by Tony McGregor in third place and John Cartwright coming fourth.
