Bill (82) rings up a fine win in Fur and Feather

The final match of the year for Conservative AC was also their annual Fur and Feather match.

Oak Pool was the venue at Decoy Lakes which saw 82 year-old Bill Ringer out in front from peg one.

Bill had 100lb of carp all caught on maggot feeder and what a wonderful way to end the season as it was his first ever 100lb catch of fish.

Runner-up was Andrew Porter with 81lb 7oz off peg 13 and Mark Chester was third with 75lb 1 oz off peg 12.


Ivan Marriott was well ahead of the field with 11lb 11oz in the latest Yaxley, Farcet, Holme and District points match fished on the Bower at Whittlesey.

Runner-up Frank Bevilacqua had 3lb 11¼oz and Paul Marriott was third with 3lb 10oz.
