A very wet and windy Four Island pool at Decoy Lakes saw the Cock Inn anglers struggling for bites.

First place went to Gary Sell on peg four with a modest 40lb of carp taken on red maggot.

Runner-up was Steve Smith on 32lb 8oz followed by Pete Sanderson with 32lb 4oz.

The Beastie Lake at Decoy has been fishing well throughout the summer and autumn but as winter edges closer the weights are starting to drop down a peg or two.

Outright winner from peg five in the Tuesday Open was the in-form Mick King. He fished a maggot feeder up to the island netting some very big carp in his weight of 79lb 7oz.

Some way behind was Rob Goodson on 49lb 14oz followed by Nigel Baxter with 46lb 6oz.

It was no better for those booked onto the Saturday Open. Chris Barley on peg six won this one with 57lb 1oz followed by Tom Edwards (41lb 11oz) and Steve Tyler (30lb 7oz).
