Josh Pace just can’t go wrong at the moment.

He completely dominated the the Ramsey & District Angling Society match on the Magpie Pool at Rookery Waters on Sunday. He caught 147lb of carp from peg 28 with luncheon meat.

England ladies star Abbi Kendal was runner-up with 109lb. Then came Liam Darler with 98lb 12oz and Roy Whincup on 92lb 4oz.

OVER 55s

In the Friday Decoy Over 55s match fished on the Willows, once again Deeping rod Ray Torrington took the honours. Fishing his favourite cat meat approach from peg seven he caught a level 150lb.

Mike King was second on 134lb 7oz and Gus Gausden third with 100lb 4oz.


Andy Gausden won the JVAC match at Decoy Lakes on the Six Islands Pool with 138lb 13oz from peg 25. Runner-up was Chris Saunders with 126lb 1oz and third Roger Gowler with 109lb 11oz.


Kevin Lee won the Fenland Rods fixture at Kingsland Fishery on the Big Carp Lake with 136lb 6oz followed by Mac Campbell (115lb 6oz), James Garner (90lb 1oz) and Matt Lutkin (87lb 5oz).
