Once again the North Level Drain produced a cracking match for those fishing the Tydd Gote AA fixture.

Leading the way with 27lb 5oz from the Clough Bridge section was Andy Greenwood.

He caught some big perch on the pole with worm, his best fish weighing in at 3lb 7oz.

Second was John Taylor with a level 15lb, followed by John Young with 13lb 5oz and Don Green with 12lb 7oz.

There was a good turnout at Townsend Fishery for the open match fished on the Cuckoo Canal Pool.

The venue fished really well with Matt Wiles taking the honours from peg 14 with a net of carp taken close in on the pole for 96lb 12oz.

Fishery boss Colin Begbie came in second with a level 82lb and Ashley Kinsey came third with 79lb 12oz.

The fishery will be running another pairs match after the popular event they had a few weeks ago and with the venue in form it should be a good day.

The date is March 7 so get booked in as it’s sure to be well attended.
