And it's a good day for Hicks Karate

The Fengate-based Hicks Karate School also did well in the Peterborough Series.

They had 27 competitors in action and came away with 11 gold, 10 silver and seven bronze medals.

Six year-old Junior Crozier won the most trophies (two golds and two silvers) while another six year-old, Sophie Hicks, did well to reach the final of her biggest competition so far.

The Popat-Evans trio of Jazmyn, Braydon and Ginge scooped five golds, two silvers and three bronze medals between them.

Veteran fighter Rob Taylor continued his two-year undefeated run at the Peterborough Series.

All medal winners qualified to compete in the UFMAA British Championships being held in Birmingham in October.
