Building work is underway as the latest dessert lounge in Peterborough begins to take shape.
Leading brand Creams will be “opening soon” at the currently under refurbishment North Street Courtyard Bar which closed last summer.
Windows of the former Masonic hall building have been knocked out to allow bifold doors to open out onto Lincoln Road.
No opening date has been announced but Creams- which launched in 2008 and has a 1950s retro Americana theme - will be in good company. Tamu opened its new lounge in Cowgate in March, Creations opened in Burghley Road in April and Kaspa’s is currently taking shape in a retail unit in Bridge Street,
All the Creams franchises have a black and purple colour scheme and distinctive lighting adding a trendy cutting edge to the design and feel. They each boast more than 30 different flavours of freshly made gelato, American-style waffles and crepes served in many sweet variations. That is complemented with Fair Trade coffees, sundaes, smoothies, juices and desserts.
