Thousands of people enjoyed free classic bus rides during the Fenland Busfest last Sunday.

Some 40 vehicles from the 1930s to 1990s, many of which once worked in Peterborough, came from as far away as Birmingham and London for the event.

The festival, organised by Fenland Bus Enthusiasts, raised money for bus and coach preservation locally and a collection was organised for Peterborough Soup Kitchen. Spokesman Nick Larkin said; “We had a great day and some lovely comments from people who visited.”
