Representatives from two charities were presented with cheques from the proceeds of last year’s Peterborough Classic and Vintage Vehicle Show.

A total of £302 was split between the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) and Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.

Plans for this year’s Peterborough Classic and Vintage Vehicle Show are taking shape with more than 500 classic and vintage vehicles set to roll in to Peterborough’s Embankment on Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4.

Councillor Janet Goodwin, cabinet member for city centre management, culture and tourism at Peterborough City Council, said: “The Peterborough Classic and Vintage Vehicle Show is going from strength to strength.

“We have car and vehicle owners travelling from as far afield as Yorkshire to take part in the event.”

Cllr Goodwin and event organisers Paula Thacker and Ray Dobbs presented cheques to Leanne Tyers from the EAAA and Doreen Dare from Pancreatic Cancer Research.
