Like millions of others I am desperately trying to keep focused on the upcoming European Exit Poll.
There are countless different views and possible situations to be considered most of which in some way or other have been covered in this newspaper.
Every single person with voting rights must signify their view by voting, countless lives have been given over the last centuries maintaining our individuality and our sovereignty and our right to this vote.
For many months now I have made my personal views clear and will not be repeating them.
However I feel I must re-establish one over-riding fear that I have and that is the “security of the realm” which should always be top of the government’s priority list.
This week I have read to my absolute horror that the Germans are strongly proposing a “pan-European Army”, not wishing to dwell on the past but unfortunately history does have a nasty habit of repeating itself, if this ever happened and we were still, heaven forbid, in the EU and we become part of it I would rate this as my greatest fear for Great Britain.
As a country we must stay strong not as part of some rag, tag and bobtail disparate army run from afar. But as an independent country, supporting our Army, Air Force and Navy, particularly our Nuclear Submarines.
Then we do not “have to shout loud but simply speak quietly, while carrying a big stick”.
