Woolly mammoth and woolly rhino remains discovered next to A14 roadworks in Cambridgeshire

The remains of a woolly mammoth and woolly rhino have been discovered in the construction of the new A14 in Cambridgeshire.

The remains, dating back to the last ice age, were found in the A14 construction area between Huntingdon and Cambridge last week.

While excavating for construction materials near Fenstanton construction workers made the incredible discovery.

The finds are at least 130,000 years old and were found by what was once an ancient river.
