Woman treated for breathing difficulties after large Peterborough flat fire

A woman was treated for breathing difficulties after a fire at a flat in Peterborough yesterday.

Crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground were called to the flat fire in Danes Close, Eastfield, at 2.26am on Thursday, February 23.

The fire was well established when crews arrived and four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using one hose reel and one jet extinguished the fire.

A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke from the building.

Crews administered oxygen at the scene to a female with breathing difficulties until an ambulance arrived.

Crews returned to their stations by 4.15am
