Half-time entertainment is being taken to a different level when a brave woman will have all her hair shaved off in front of around 6,000 Posh fans.
Football fans can be an unforgiving bunch, but Kerry Asplin is determined to raise money for Brain Tumour Research after suffering family heartache.
Kerry (46) from Eye lost her mum three years ago after she suddenly contracted the condition, as well as her grandad 20 years ago.
Kerry will see her hair disappear in front of supporters at the Posh-Coventry match on Saturday (March 28).
She said: I’m trying to do something which will have the most impact.
“A friend recently had cancer and lost her hair. It gave me the idea and I know my hair will grow back.
I’m looking forward to seeing the donations go up and say I’ve done something for the charity and my mum.Kerry Asplin
Kerry made the decision to have her hair shaved off near the new year and has already raised nearly £1,200.
Posh agreed to the head shave after she contacted them through a friend.
Kerry added: “I’m not scared. It’s going to be odd and people will be staring at me but as long as I have my health I don’t mind.
“I’ll just have to keep my head down when I’m in a room full of people and let them stare.
“If I’m going to do something as drastic as this I want to raise as much money as possible.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the donations go up and say I’ve done something for the charity and my mum.”
Kerry’s mother died from a tumour just a month after being diagnosed and only a couple of months after starting to feel tired and ill.
Kerry added: “It was a fast-growing tumour. It was so quick and just shows you that you do not know what life has around the corner.
“Mum was a nurse and was such a loving and caring person. She would do anything for anyone.”
