Woman remains in critical condition following A47 collision

A woman left fighting for her life in a collision on the A47 yesterday (Tuesday) remains in a critical condition, Cambridgeshire police have said.

Officers were called at 12.28pm yesterday following the collision involving a car and an HGV on the A47 at South Brink, Wisbech.

Police attended, together with paramedics and firefighters. The driver of the car, a woman, was been taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn in a critical condition.

Today, Cambridgeshire police said the woman remained in a critical but stable condition.

The lorry driver was unharmed.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is urged to contact police by calling 101, quoting incident number 188 of 8 September.
