Woman hospitalised after serious house fire in Whittlesey
A woman was taken to hospital with burns after a serious house fire in Whittlesey yesterday, Monday March 8.
Crews from Whittlesey and Stanground were called to the blaze in Whiteacres at 4.47pm.
Two adults were out of the property on the arrival of the fire service and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
A female casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance to be treated for smoke inhalation and minor burns. Crews returned to their stations by 6.10pm. The cause of the fire was accidental.
