The Magpas air ambulance flew a woman to hospital with serious leg injuries after she had been kicked by a horse in a field near Peterborough.
The Magpas Air Ambulance was called to the field to treat the woman, aged in her 60s, At 10.05am this morning (Sunday, March 5).
Magpas Doctor Jono Ritson, Paramedic Chris Hawkins and Doctor Phil Morgan, provided the woman with A&E level care at the scene, before airlifting her to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Upon arrival, the patient was said to be in a stable condition and her leg injuries were described as serious.
The Magpas helicopter crew who flew the medical team and the patient were Pilot Andy Figg and Crewmember George Phillips.
An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew was also in attendance.
