Wheel success for unit

Members of the '˜20-49 Motor Club', based in Stamford raised funds last year at their Christmas event which were split between the Oncology Unit at Peterborough City Hospital and Leicester Royal Infirmary.

The ‘20 -49 Motor Club’ caters for vehicles built between 1920 and 1970. John Roberts, President of the Motor Club, said: “A few of our members have been patients of the Oncology Unit over the years and we felt compelled to do something that would benefit any future patients.”

Dr Catherine Jephcott, Consultant Oncologist was presented with the cheque for £350. She said: “On behalf of all staff on the unit, I would like to thank the group for this generous donation, which will be put towards improving the environment for our current patients and visitors.”
