A much liked Peterborough rock ‘n’ roll singer died with his family beside him two years after suffering a stroke.
Owen Jones, who went by the stage name of Ricky Fever and performed in and around Peterborough, passed away aged 74 at his home in Skylarks Close, Hampton Hargate on June 7.
Owen leaves his wife of 52 years Valerie (72), daughter Brigitte (50), son Adrian (49), five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Valerie said: “Our marriage was wonderful and I have some lovely memories. He was a very liked man.”
The public are invited to the funeral at St. John the Baptist Church, by Cathedral Square, from 2.30pm on Friday (June 19) and can attend a wake straight afterwards at the Executive Suite at the Posh ground, London Road. The funeral is family flowers only.
