HEATWAVE ON THE WAY: Peterborough set to bask in soaring temperatures
Summer is set to finally arrive next week - with Peterborough predicted to enjoy the hottest temperatures of the year so far.
After a disappointing summer so far - which has been dominated by rain and cloud - the Met Office forecasts that there will be an improvement in the weather this weekend and next week with large spells of dry, bright, warm weather.
On Saturday and Sunday temperatures and humidity will start to build and the mercury should reach a very warm and pleasant 23C and 24C respectively.
Monday will reach 25C and on Tuesday it will be even hotter with temperatures reaching a balmy 27C in Peterborough according to the Met Office.
Wednesday will also remain dry and bright, reaching 24C.
