Thousands of women from across the area got ‘pretty muddy’ this weekend as they joined the fight against Cancer.
More than 3,500 women tackled an extremely muddy 5k obstacle course at the Pretty Muddy event held at The East of England Showground in Peterborough on Sunday.
From wading through baths of mud to taking on the giant inflatable slide which finished with a giant splash into a pool of mud - everyone involved was determined to finish the gruelling obstacle race to help beat Cancer.
Area event manager, Julie Braithwaite said: “It was an amazing day - the atmosphere was brilliant and it was great to see everyone come together.
“Everyone that crossed that finish line was so proud of their achievements. They all did their big for Cancer Research UK.”
Following the success of this years event, plans are already being set in place to make the race an annual event in Peterborough.
The next charity event coming to Peterborough will be this year’s Race for Life 5k event taking place at Ferry Meadows on July 7 at 7.30pm.
