UPDATE MONDAY 11.05AM: Man with several injuries after A17 Fleet Hargate crash

A man in his 20s is in hospital with injuries to his body after a three-car-crash in Fleet Hargate this morning.

Emergency services were called to the A17 Washway Road, near The Farm Cafe, where the crash happened at about 6.30am.

One man was taken to Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, with leg, arm and neck injuries, according to an EMAS (East Midlands Ambulance Service) spokesman.

Meanwhile, another man in his 20s was knocked unconscious after he was “clipped” by a lorry on the A17 in Fleet.

It happpened near the Anglia Motel at about 4.40am when the man was walking along the road where the accident happened.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “A male pedestrian in his 20s was clipped by a lorry and the road was temporarily closed as a precaution just until they were able to confirm that (his) injuries were minor.”

Anyone who saw the accident should call 101, quoting incident 27 of February 1.

UPDATE MONDAY 10.40AM: Three-car collision near cafe in Fleet Hargate

Police have confirmed that three cars have been involved in a crash on the A17 in Fleet Hargate this morning.

It happened near The Farm Cafe in Washway Road at about 6.30am.

There are, as yet, no reports of any injuries and the road is now clear after all the cars involved were recovered.

MONDAY 8AM: Serious collision blocking A17 near Holbeach

A collision on the A17 is causing long delays in both directions near Holbeach this morning.

The road is partially blocked between the A151 and Lowgate with queues back to Fleet Hargate and Saracen’s Head.

Motorists are advised to find an alternative route if possible.
