Two people were taken to hospital after a head-on collision near the A605 in Peterborough.

An ambulance crew and an ambulance officer were deployed after the East of England Ambulance Service received a call at 9.31pm yesterday (Thursday, August 6).

Two patients were assessed at the scene – a woman who had leg pain and a man who had chest pain.

Both were taken to Peterborough City Hospital for further treatment.

Their injuries were described as minor.

A police spokesman said they were called to Stanham Way, Kingston Park, at 9.38pm.
