An interfaith food festival will be held at Peterborough Town Hall.
Peterborough Inter-Faith Council and Peterborough City Council are hosting the faith festival and food event, which starts at noon tomorrow (Sunday). This year’s event is titled ‘effects of global events on local faith communities’. It will offer a variety of traditional foods from different countries, cultures and religions and speeches and discussions regarding the major faiths in Peterborough.
Gillian Beasley, chief executive of Peterborough City Council said: “I always enjoy attending this annual festival as it celebrates the many faiths and cultures we have in Peterborough. I am looking forward to discussing how we at Peterborough City Council work with faith groups across the city.
“The Inter-Faith Council works to unite communities across our city which enjoys such rich diversity, whether it be in food, music or dress. I hope people take the opportunity to come along, try some great food and perhaps learn something new as well.”
