Trim it to win it for charity

A seven-year-old girl from Hampton has raised more than £500 after having 35cm of her hair cut off.

Matilda Bastin-Northcott, who attends Hampton Vale Primary School, is raising the money for the Little Princess Trust which provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people up to the age of 24 who have lost their own hair due to cancer or other illnesses.

Mum Stacey said her daughter is “absolutely over the moon” to have raised so much money for the charity.

She added: “This selfless act makes me so proud and fills my heart with pride and my eyes with tears!”

Matilda’s hair was cut by Sara Pike.
