Woman taken to hospital after ice cream van collision in Peterborough

A woman was taken to hospital after a collision between a car and an ice cream van.

A police spokeswoman said the force were called at 8.41pm last night (Wednesday, June 10) to reports of a collision in Robert Avenue, Dogsthorpe.

The collision involved a black car, believed to be a Volkswagen Passat, an ice-cream van and a pedestrian.

The woman, said to be in her 20s or 30s, was taken to Peterborough City Hospital by ambulance.

Her injuries, which are unknown, were only said to be slight.

Railings were also damaged in the collision.

Nearby Fulbridge Road was closed while the vehicles were recovered with no details on what time the re-opened.
