A woman was seriously injured in a head-on collision on the A15 near Yaxley yesterday.
Police were called at 11.38am on Sunday, March 5, to the two car crash which closed the road between Yaxley and Norman Cross.
Fire crews from Stanground and Dogsthorpe were called and used specialist cutting equipment to release one female casualty.
A number casualties were out of their vehicles when crews arrived. Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Trust along with crews from the Magpas Air Ambulance and East of England Air Ambulance, which both landed at the scene, treated seven people in total, four adults and three children.
The collision involved a Ford Focus and a Renault Megane and the woman, who was driving one of the vehicles, received serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
She was taken to Peterborough City Hospital along with six others with minor injuries, but all were described as being in a stable condition by ambulance personnel.
