Tributes have been paid to “talented” daughter, sister and aunt who died after being hit by an HGV on the A1 in Cambridgeshire last week.

Colette McCulloch, 35, of The Lane in Wyboston died following a collision with a HGV at about 3am on Thursday July 28 on the A1 between the B654 Wyboston and the A428.

In a statement, her parents said: “Our daughter was a graduate in English Literature at the University of Sussex. As well as writing extraordinary poems and short stories, she was also a talented artist who had completed a Foundation course at Wimbledon Art College.

“She is sorely missed by her mother, father, sister, two nephews and niece.”

The road was shut in both directions for several hours following the collision.

An inquest into her death will be held in due course.
