Peterborough traffic lights out of action due to power problems

Drivers are being urged to take extra care as power network problems have left a large number of traffic lights out of action across the city.

There are reports the problems are affecting lights in the city centre, on Rhubarb Bridge, on Newark Road and Eastfield Road and in Hampton.

The problems are causing long queues on the road network across Peterborough, with the Rhubarb Bridge junction on Bourges Boulevard particularly bad.

School staff have been helping children cross the road safely as drivers try to navigate their way through the problems safely.

The Peterborough Telegraph has contacted Peterborough City Council about the issues.
