Peterborough gritting teams to treat city roads with wintry showers possible

Gritting lorries will be out from 7pm to deal with the winter weather.

The Met Office said temperatures were not expected to dip below freezing tonight.

A Peterborough City Council spokesman said: “As the odd isolated wintry flurry is possible in places (though significant accumulations are not currently expected) gritting action will be carried out from 7pm this evening on city and rural routes. Please take care whilst driving in windy conditions.”
