"Every day it feels like I am driving into a ditch, the potholes problem has got so bad"
Residents in Peterborough have raised concerns about a stretch of road due to the large number of potholes that keep appearing.
A series of potholes have opened up in Southfields Drive in Stanground, only a couple of years after the road was resurfaced.

Mary Vessey, who uses the road on a daily basis to get to work, told the PT: “The road has got really bad and is in urgent need of repair.
“We have had a lot of potholes in the same area of the road. Every time they refill it, the same hole reappears.
You have to go really slowly, otherwise your car clonks in the hole. That is what I experience everyday.

"The road is dangerous as well as it can pull a car slightly sideways and not going at any speed. It’s also sinking in places.”
Fletton and Stanground ward councillor Jade Seager has been working closely with the council’s highways department on the issues and has confirmed that an investigation into the road’s ongoing issues has been started.
Cllr Seager said: “The road surface is not great but Highways have confirmed that the surface is not of the expected standard after resurfacing works in the past couple of years.
"They are going to do further investigations into the issues on the stretch of road.”
