A47 closures and reduced speed limits in Peterborough announced
Part of the A47 in Peterborough will be closed and temporary speed limits imposed as part of a series of works.
The roadworks will be carried out on the Soke Parkway, beginning from Monday, September 21 for five nights (8pm to 6am).
This will allow for carriageway resurfacing, vehicle and pedestrian “restraint system” installation and bridge works to be carried out.
During the week, 40 and 50mph hour speed limits will be in place 24 hours a day by the Castor and Bretton Gate junctions.
Moreover, the road will be closed in both directions between the exit and entry slip roads at Junction 15 (Longthorpe Interchange), with traffic diverted off the A47 and back on again.
Elsewhere, further road closures will also take place at Huntly Road and Gordon Avenue in Woodston,
Both roads will be shut between 9.30am and 3.30pm between Monday, September 14 and Friday, September 25 from 9.30am to 3.30pm for resurfacing works.
Eyebury Road between Oxney Road and Bowberry Close will also be closed on September 14 and 15 for “pole testing works”.
